From 2013 to 2016 I had been involved in the project “Civil Engagement in Social Work: Developing Global Models” as coordinator of the Italian unit. This EU funded research (ISES Marie Curie program) was aimed to explore the relationship between social work and civil society in a global context. The coordinator of the project was Coventry University (Regno Unito). The other partners were: University of Calabria (Italy), Instituto Universitario de Lisboa - ISCTE (Portogallo), Universidad de Alicante (Spagna), Kocaeli Universitesi (Turchia), Stellenbosch University (Sud Africa), Loyola College (India), Sun Yat-sen University (Cina), Universidad Federal do Espirito Santo (Brasile) and St Petersburg State University (Russia).
